been to price a lfe inset fire install, the customer has a chimney, surround, and hearth, but the plasterers have just boarded over the fire place opening if you get my drift....
what would you suggest - the plasterboard is obviously not fire resistant, i havent dealt with anything like this before (gas fires are a rarity for me) i have fitted a few up until a few years ago but they have just gone out of fashion around here but the opening has already been done, i have never had to make my own opening etc. Im not doing the job until next week.
any ideas as usual greatly appreciated.
The fireis the sort you cut out the opening and screw in, not the basket type.
