searched the internet nothing on best way to secure the surround to the wall.
 
Can you not ring manufacture , can you not screw it ! I have seen old fire which was very heavy and had not been secured any how !

i think you mean fix the fire surround to the wall?.

i use these bellow about 4-6 of them.
screw to the back of the surround, offer up to the wall then chip out some plaster around the bracket.
drill and plug to wall then patch fill over bracket.
