If its just AR you shouldnt remove any components, just turn it off at the customer controls

Hello mates can someone be of help to me.
AR a gas fire, remove the pilot and thermocouple wrote it on the warning notice, label and gave it to the teananat to sign all these where done with his permition as he own the fire. could not turn off the gas as there was no visible resistor able.
The same teanant try to relight the same fire only for it to explode becos he keep trying.
Was it a mistake to have remove the pilot and thermocouple?
To my understanding I was try to make sure the teanant does nt use the fire until the defect was fix .
this is one of the best threads i have read.your a star frakaka

wow! :(

Was it a mistake ?

The answer is in the question.. EXPLODE.

I thought the point of taking appliances out of service when they are in a dangerous condition or are at risk of being, was to leave them SAFE and unuseable, not to leave them in a potentially worse condition than they were previously in.

I've discussed this trainees before, I say AR turn it off at boiler timer, if a system boiler , if a Combi turn off at timer make sure taps are closed, so perfectly safe when I left it, guy says its safer to blow out pilot as it won't light if they try to, I say that's totally unacceptable unless they CONFIRM the FAD is holding, some see where I'm coming from, the others are wrong haha, but the OP is so wrong it's scary, he dismantles part of an appliance and leaves it connected, it's the jail he deserves if it isn't a wind up

Holy moly. How long before this guy kills someone??

Op has cut and run, either that or he is still travelling at warp speed nine into the atmosphere with assorted gas fittings following close behind him.
