heres a good one. only went to exchange a gas cooker, but checking the instalation found these crimp fittings on gas valve. yes i know its got an open end. after i removed pipe took photo !!
anyway there are crimp fittings available for gas, but these will be labelled with a yellow square or the word gas. just so you know ladies for when it happens to you !

its the same as one i had the other day when i went to change a hob a flexy feeding it for gods sake!!!!how stupid/lazy/muppeted are people?
 
seen a cooker rigged up with a piece garden hose and 2 jubilee clips,the chap would,nt have it ,that it was dangerous,would,nt let us disconnect,had great pleasure getting transco out
the owner reckoned thats is how they do it in pakistan!
