This could be a bit urgent. My gas flame on the oven hob has suddenly turned to a very yellow flame. I checked the gas fire and that is the same. As a coincidence, I am changing over to British Gas supply tomorrow (20th.) from NP Power. Any clues? 😕

Please do not use any of you appliances, call your supplier and report a smell of gas, this will make them respond straight away and engineer sent will advise you
If you have been using appliances ventilate all areas and wait for engineer outside

strange to get it on both appliances the gas supplier change has no relevance as the supplier is just the one that bills you from the road to your house
yellow flame is def a serious problem and as they both are doing it it could be that some muck has got into both appliances
is the flame stable or ragged and unstable and is flame def yellow as this hints at lack of air
suggest opening some windows as a precaution as it is possible carbon monoxide could form
call a gas engineer immdtly so he can check for carbon monoxide with a analyzer

national grid emergency number is 0800 111 999

they will only turn off your e.c.v.
to have any problem fixed after your e.c.v. you need a g.r.i.

as above, stop using, call g.r.i. now. ventilate property.
