what is the distance that an electrical socket should be from a hobstove
 
min 50mm from side of hob

from a free standing cooker with grill above 150mm

Thanks for your help!! what about if the socket is located above the appliance for a hob.
I always refer to installation instructions if availble ,must tenants lose them!! so it`s a good idea to have a minimum distance as for sockets next to a gas meter( not within 150mm) thanks.
 
kitchens arent in section 7 of our regs (bs7671) "special locations", but min 300mm from hob is recomended (on-site guide 7671)
