Hi all

was wondering if anyone knew the regs on running gas supply to hob in the kingspan under the underfloor heating screed.
i was thinking ether sheathed copper in a 32mm solvent weld pipe sealed at the end where it comes out of the floor in kitchen then left open on the outside wall ( like when's sleaving a pipe through a wall)
Or trac pipe, but it's a bit expensive.
Is there any regs on this?
Whats your thoughts?

cheers

stu

Plastic coated copper, trac pipe, normall copper taped up, either way buried in the screed will be best.

Can't put it in the screed as there's underfloor going down was going to put it in the kingspan under the screed

I can't see why you couldn't do that, iv seem it a lot in property's when making alterations.

I would go plastic coated for price of mind, but have seen it without

Is there no route it can go in the screed where the underfloor won't be? Like around under the kitchen cupboards. It can be put in insulation but I would try to avoid it.

I wast thinking that but was a bit concerned about the contraction and expansion of the screed might affect the copper but if in the insulation it won't matter as the screed will move not affecting the copper

whats your thoughts

I would just make the screed a bit deeper, and case the tube, then deboned the screed on the tube for the ufh screed with poly. The pipes not going to move that much, in winter slab will be 25 - 45c and in summer 18c if coated tube nothing to worry about, if it's over 7m in one run bed and offset in middle and that will take the 3% up.
