Hey there got first gas inspection coming up and haven't done any gas since acs. Got to do a landlord cert for him and just have a few things I want to tie up for inspection.

Is it ok to leave u gage unattended while it's on test point (e.g meter at front of house boiler at back of house?)

also so where is best place to purge on a combi boiler?

Yeh your fine leaving the guage on At least while getting working pressures etc. If theres kids running about beware lol. Youll have to attach it and go and get a working pressure .Cant think why youd wanna leave it ln longer than that for a cp12/service as if servicing it youll need it at boiler for working pressure there too.

Combis normally self purge but will fail to lockout so you may need to reset if that happens.

Don't panic. They're there to help you as well as check you know your stuff.

If there's anything you're unsure of, ask.

They'd rather know your sensible than a guesser !

Remember, they are human too and once were in your shoes !!

Just be upfront and explain that you haven't done any gas work since ACS, better than looking incompetent trying to bluff your way through it!

Cheers just stressing out a bit trying to get up to scratch again. Don't know what to expect either, but to be fair sounds like a nice bloke on the phone

They are mostly ok they generally like to make themselves look clever by telling you things their hoping you don't know, and keep their sense of superiority over you
