I keep getting customers ask me for a gas installation certificate when I have disconnected and capped an appliance. What certificate do I use for these small jobs.I only have Landlords safety certificates. I usually just give them an invoice with what I have done.Is this ok or is there a specific certificate for this type of work . I have searched various sites and cant find anything.

I made my own form and it covers every job, from little caps off to a LL cert to a commission. Why not do that, it will stop corgi ripping you off

How do you keep a copy if you made your own? and is a home made form legal for a landlords certificate.

it is a legal requirement to supply certain info to the landlord, so all you need to do is make sure you have all the corgi boxes on your form, in any format that is easy to follow, how you keep records depends on what you do with the paperwork, ie if filled out at home/office you scan and send email to the landlord, if you fill out on site take a pic of the form and download onto your system, or go back to the old carbon paper to create 2 copies, best thing is a toughbook or PDA, so that you fill in on the comp, get it signed and emailed from the system

I got a company to print mine onto carbon paper, then you can have your own company logo on it too!!

just use GSUIR to comply with it, and maybe copy corgi a bit!

All of the mainstream forms follow the guidelines of the CORGI CP12 form. This is because, when originaly developed, the CORGI form was deemed by the HSE as meeting the minimum requirements for the record in the GSR's.

If you develope your own form following the same guidelines and terminology you will be fine.
