Landscaper done this with a shovel, contracted by the factor of the building. Ignored it and didn't tell anyone, left it spewing gas for 5 hours, the whole building was stinking of gas before SGN were called to cap and make safe, I was called out to repair.

we all know that it would of been obvious it was leaking gas as soon as the pipe was ruptured, what do you think will happen to him?

I once drilled through a 22mm gas pipe via a 28mm copper sleeve whilst piloting a hole for the aerial bloke, ha ha you soon know when you've done it lol..........

i kangoed through the incoming in a block of flats buried in screed about 25 mm down slapped a blob of plumbers mait on it and called the board

my old workmate was coring the flue before and hit a rising gas main with no means of isolation, external cladding had been put on the building so when you look out window there was nothing there(but from ground you could see the vents) We had to evacuate all the flats and deal with stubborn old women who refused to put their cigarettes out.

Scottish Gas job aswell, didn't go down very well haha.
