Don't get on here much anymore but thought I'd ask this question as
I'm not 100% sure, so my new boss has asked me to source the
most popular sizes of gas meter hoses (anacondas) as I'm only
really doing plumbing at the moment and a bit of servicing, can honestly say
I've not had much to do with changing the hoses, I just check for safety
etc, so if you guys were to keep some for van stock what sizes would you
keep, thanks in advance

Why would you ???
The anaconda and the regulator are the property of the gas company.
I dont think anyone outside of meter fitting company or transco would keep them on a van.

They're the property of the gas transporter so you should be calling the ESP to change.

That is unless you have a meter contract, in which case I can't be of much help as I don't carry or change them.

you sure you dont mean cooker hoses???????????????????????

i work for a trade suppliers as well as doing my own private work, the supplier wants to stock
The most popular sizes of hose for those who are qualified to change or fit, never said I was gonna change them, if anyone could actually answer the question I posted that would be great.

455mm but you will have different size bores

so you posted to say you can't help me ????

Just look at bes catalogue. I think it's a pointless item to stock and won't generate any sales... Usually secondary meters are not regulated as one on main meter.

If it's commercial and your stepping down I anticipate that the trade will be buying from BSS or climate center any way..... So your sort of buying a pointless stock item. Why not stock MLCP or Express ?

BES is the only place ive seen them on sale along with meters. ES/ESP buy straight from the manufacturer. Theres not going to be a great demand in the domestic market as they are not needed or used on our side of the meter. Meter contracts are supplied by the ES.

what type of merchant is it ?

Mostly plumbing and waste but do stock the odd gas part, have had a few engineers in asking for them so my manager thinks it's worth stiocking the more popular sizes, thanks for all advice though

You've had engineers asking for them..... Sound like engineers and not idiots!

I wouldn't imagine 99.99% of legal and competent Dom engineers looking to buy regs .

Especially from a merchants that deals mainly in plumbing and drainage ......... Not knocking you just seems buzzar. Illegal meter relocations going on?
