Gas meter trickery

I don't know how true this is, but some of the latest tricks people are up to is robbing pre pay gas meters from peoples houses with credit on them.
Another 1 is where gas meters are taken out and vacuum cleaners placed on meter to reverse it back.

Often thought about the stealing the meter one so easy with the amount located in external boxes , pair of grips and a box key done

It's true!! I've been to a few!!!!
a lot of times they don't bother to turn off the gas!!

D vac works alright. Had a customer with private meters on a big complex. Thought 1 of his G4s wasn't working cause it was using so little. I took it off, it turned it fine. Now i didn't try reversing d numbers if ye get me. I put vac on outlet

I doubt it if a new digital meter with a card payment type would go back into credit if you put a vac on the inlet would it.........if it does I will start making a living from doing this, say I put £25 cr on your meter for £10 cash , reckon id get a street of 50 houses done in a day..... happy days haha

No people were robbing meters with credit on them.
Others were taking out 'normal' meters that rotate with flow of gas through and sticking a vac on d inlet to reverse them back

Aparantly, if you have an imperial reading u6. They don't read iff they're slanted 180" or over. Who knew.

I've done the course on meters and if it has been sucked backwards the grease on the cogs is in the wrong place. They cut the meter open and find out
