Hi all, hope you're having a good day.

I am installing a second gas cooker in my kitchen where there is an electrical socket near the gas pipe. I was wondering if this is an issue or not? There aren't many sockets in the kitchen so i would like to keep it but of course, don't want to create a fire hazard!

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Thanks

socket should not be positioned where it can be damaged by heat or suffer an ingress of water or steam. Common sense needed.

as for fitting the hob, get a competent person to do it.

When you've done it and it goes bang:73::73: good luck. Hope the H&S and cops don't look at this site! Get a qualified person in to do it and spend your money on being safe assuming your not registered.
