Hey guys... Been a gas engineer, i am working an between 3-8 gas boilers per day, from services to breakdowns..

I am constantly in my local Parts Centre browsing there Parts Arena software for parts, components and part numbers.

My question is, Does anyone know where i can download or source the Gas Parts Arena software cheaper than from there website, where it retails at £195 for the dvd (PC) version :( can be seen here - Gas PartsArena Pro DVD | Gas PartsArena | Infomill

Thanks

Hi mate, nice page but not exactly what im looking for. That doesn't really cover all boilers, the full parts arena will cover all Worcester/Ariston/Vaillaint etc etc etc .

Thanks anyway, that's handy if i come across a Baxi :)

i sent them an email, asking if it contains certain types of more commercial boilers, she rang me today and offered me a free 3 day trial. just been playing with it, love it.
just dosnt do enough commercial stuff to warrant the expense.
i bought the valsoft dvd, that is plenty good enough for domestic side. 20 quid.

shaun

Well I have been comparing the valsoft dvd with the list that parts arena supply and parts arena dvd is definitely lacking in its coverage of manuals and at £195 compared to 19.50 for the valsoft dvd I wonder why anyone would want to buy it.!!!!

Valsoft Dvd seems to be Manuals only ?? If so, this is not what Gas Parts Arena is.. Gas Parts Arena software is what they have in my local Wolsley Parts centre, it contains exploded diagrams of all boilers, and lists every part & part number, it also contains exploded diagrams of boiler components, extremely useful for locating & identifying boiler parts for replacement. Does Valsoft also contain these detailed internal diagrams of all boilers?

Hi,

No, they are different tools, look at the difference in price.

As we have access to parts arena through Parts center then why burden yourself with the cost, it is only part identification and numbers no more useful than that.

The manuals hold far more useful information and also has main parts listed and a short parts list in the majority of manufacturers installation manuals.

Regards

John

I just purchased the valsoft disc, it only has the installation and user instructions for most boilers. Why cant manufacturers give us guys free parts lists?

the do a service called Techbase which has all the service docs. It's web based too so you can access it on your phone.

Well, i did a google for parts arena demo. I came here and seeing as i also found out techbase had service docs on it i thought i would share. Its good, they even do a months free trial.

I've got an app on my phone which is called PARTS APPit's got every boiler make on there think it may be only on android. It's a picture of a blue spanner and it's free

I shall check it out. Does it have service guides? Gas Parts Arena live aka Techbase has hundreds of them. I forget the price but I'm seriously thinking of getting it. It is expensive for a year but it looks like it will save hours. You can share a login too. I'm going to get the free ap though, tar.
