When installing a gas pipe in the insulation layer below the chipboard flooring. And above the precast beam and block floor. Do most tend to run the gas pipe underneath the insulation resting on the damp course (in coated copper). Or notch out on the top of the insulation and run the pipe in that just below the chipboard. I have seen both methods on site but wondered if one was seen as a better installation then the other. Thank you.

I would do ontop of the byson beams

Or below / underneath and come up

So below the insulation layer? Thanks

Yes and no the insulation guys would cut around the pipe

Wouldn't be happy with it ontop / cut into the top of the insulation due to door stops carpet grippers screws etc

Thanks I thought similar. Even though its on top of the damp course when have used this method have still used coated copper.
