Can anyone tell me the size of gas pipe i need to do a 15m run with 6 bends, from meter box to boiler. Do i have to to use copper, as all this run is in a basement and comes up right by boiler. I ask this because, the stupid price of copper these days!!!!. The meter box is supplied by plastic pipe. Im being told it needs to be 35mm copper, 22mm there at the moment. Anyone help???

Thanks Ian:confused:

yes it has to be copper - and also has to be done by a gas safe registered engineer.

the boiler is gas rated and the piping has to be sized accordingly.

then there has to be a tightness test - then the gas pressures have to be tested on the boiler, and altered if necessary.

sizing depends on the number of, and output rating of all the gas appliances that the supply feeds.

Hi Ian. look at the positive side 20 percent of something expensive is greater than something cheap.
