I have been asked to take on a job which isn't complete due to the building company going bust. So there are a few flats that need to be second fixed etc. The main gas runs for each flat are chased into the wall and run up from the ground floor to the third floor. These have been hidden behind a large architrave around a big sash window, there are joints in the pipes and obviously only the wood separates them from each flat as the pipes go up. If that makes sense?
Is there any way in which you are allowed to run the gas pipe for one flat through another?
I have always done external runs or through communal areas and fire proofed and ventilated duct to outside if needed. Obviously now the flats have been constructed etc this is more difficult so just trying to explore any available options as I am struggling to come up with anything other than external re-runs.
