Yon don't need experience on all those appliances for your portfolio, stick to central heating boilers, get a portfolio done on them, sit your CCN1 once passed you will be a CAT 1 as you are qualified, then go back to your training provider and do some basic training on boilers fires and cookers and do the assessments, a lot of boiler cooker and fire stuff is included in CCN1, I'm sure more than a few will moan as it's not the "right" way to do it, but it's the real world and as long as you keep focused and remember passing your ACS is a STARTING POINT in gas and that you need to take great care every day you will learn what you need, too many mistakes are made by qualified/experienced people who are too lax with procedures
Contact all the large contractors who are doing all the Fife social housing work and see if you can get in with them, also contact the colleges in Dunfermline and Glenrothes and ask them which contractors use them for ACS and contact them, where are you doing your training?
