Hi all. I was wondering if there is a set standard of work that is required for my gas portfolio. I am waiting to hear back from my training provider but to be honest have jobs I could be doing supervised very soon and would like to get started on them and start building up my experience. Going to call them tomorrow but would be good to hear what is required to do the range of domestic work including gas fires.

Thanks!

Get pictures of you doing the job, make sure your in the picture, doing a tightness test, spillage test, Gas rate, hanging a boiler or whatever.
Note down all the job details, address, results etc, what you did.
Once you know the exact layout you need, you can use them pictures and that job for your evidence.

Suppose it depends on what course tour doing.
What course is it.
When I did my gas I was with an engineer and they just recorded start and finish dates.
Didnt take one single pic

Hi it's my Basic Gas Foundation course followed by a domestic portfolio then my ACS. The local GSR I use is happy to let me get the portfolio experience as long as he gets paid for the jobs and I do them. Happy enough with that tbh.
