gas rate apps

on me new phone i have the mr combi gas rate app,are these legal to use and does gas safe approve?over the last few days been comparing a variety of recordings on the app compared to the longhand/slide rule method,the app is pretty accurate and much easier to use

for info for those on windows phones you cant get the mr combi app,but there is a similer one from gb gas,he is a member on ukpf i notice by his logo

Yeh there ok to use Mark as when I had my inspection I was told that using the apps was fine as long as the answer was same as his,

Last inspection I had, I used the app. The accessor used normal calcs. We came to the same outcome and he was happy to use them.

I think as long as you can prove you can gas rate without the app you're ok.

When I had my inspection, he asked why I wasn't using an app as it's easier. I like using the formulae that way it's stuck in my head for when the acs are due ha ha

I like Gas Rate Buddy on android because it does metric & imperial. It's accurate too

I use the old way - its basic maths anyway
