gas rates

Hi all,
Last couple of boiler installs (glow worm ultracom) had a bit of confusion at commision stage. Mi's say to gas rate appliance set boiler into Hi mode did all this but how can you do a gasrate at the meter when dial stops every few seconds?. Usually rate boilers on hot water mode and get accurate reading. Am i missing something?

gas rate as per m i,for boiler.gas rate as taught,use fga

got to set boiler on hi rate when all the system is cold otherwise it will reach temp and modulate or everything would overheat. you dont have long to do this on a small system.
or do it on hw system to give max gas rate however you wont therefore be following mfis catch 22!

Yes,you are missing the point that it is not a good idea to install Glowworm ultracom boilers

I know customers can be a pain but no one deserves these boilers

Pray tell why? Keeping in mind they are GW's best sellers? Ever looked inside one and compared that to a Vaillant 630 for example? Tell the difference? GW are owned by Vaillant and also assemble Vaillant boilers in their Belper factory.
