Hi sorry to but in but does anyone know the allowable tollerences when gas rating an appliance from what it should be to what it is doing surely you can't be expected to hit the mark all the time there must be a 5% or so diffrence I can't find it in my bpec gas book .

There's a Technical Bulletin about this ( prob a few months now) stating 5% over and 10% under being the acceptable range

Haha Steve your getting pelters from me tonight
I also wonder how many plumbers know to gas rate in m3/hr and not m2

Do most of use do gas rating on hot water? Sometimes when a do it on heating mode the ratings are way under? Modulating boiler?

Most can be put in test mode to avoid modulation, on heating its all to do with the return temperature, higher it is the gas rate will decrease, hence look at most MI's and you will find 3 different kw ratings for 3 sets of flow and return temps!
