Essex plumbing

Good morning people, as you can see from my profile I am new to the Plumbers Forum, but I have been in the trade since leaving school and I'm 39 now.
I have been employed by a large commercial M&E company that has just announced its ceasing trading in the UK, thus making me redundant.
I have therefore, decided to do my ACS and get Gas Safe registered, my largest problem is I don't work with a Gas Safe registered Engineer to get the work experience for my Portfolio, can anybody help me, or advise me?

I am doing my ACS with Able Training in Dartford, I know that they can arrange an engineer for me, but can't guarantee the frequency or the time of availability of an engineer.

can anybody advise me please?

many thanks

just have a read through old threads on training companies to get an opinion of them. personally I worked with a local gsr who I knew and used the local college route that took a bit longer but saved a fortune and got me links with other local technicians.

Sorry for the bad news , Good Luck.
( they seem to be taking the Great out of Great-Britain at the moment )

just tag along with an engineer whom works for a housing association contractor you will see various different boilers and fires and in thoery be upto date on regs etc etc
