Gas Safe only site?

Im currently taking time out of Gas work but renewing my registration this year?
I've been in the industry for 8 year and my ACS doesnt expire until 2013.

I'm wanting to know if i can get onto the Gas Safe only site, without actually having my Gas Safe card??

As i say, im competant and ive got evidence if needed? And anyway im sure th Gas Safe register guys will be able to pull my details up?

you have to be gas safe to get on the gas safe site mate - its for gas safe members only.

You can get on the public area of gas safe, but not the engineers part, unless you are registered.

Sorry, but as the guys have said above, access to the engineers' part of the Gas Safe Register website is restricted to those who are currently on the Register. If you do renew your registration this year it is easy to set up an online account which will get you access to that part of the website (and it doesn't cost you anything extra).

For those registered businesses on here who haven't set up an online account yet I would really encourage you to do so - the feedback we have is that it is really useful, even if you only go in to use the marketing toolkit with the logos etc. on it.

I agree, the information is very useful. The site, though, is not easy to use. I wanted Industry Unsafe Sits update and it was very difficulut to find. I found it on a different site in the end.

Great idea renewing reistration on line and fantastic you now give the full 12 months from date of application. Bad new is it did'nt work for me so I had to phone up to find out why. Then tried to charge me the full rate without the online discount when it was a problem gsr's end. We did resovle this situation to my satisfaction after a bit of reasoning.

Conclusion: Yes some good updates and news. But still alot more work and investment required to improve site and processes.

Thanks for the feedback - work on the website is continuing pretty much all the time (some things are small tweaks and other things are much bigger and take more time). Sorry to hear you hit some snags when trying to renew online but pleased we managed to sort it eventually.

Bear in mind that we are always happy to listen to ways we can improve the service we offer registered engineers.

just give gas safe a ring of e mail,they will sort you out very quickly
