Gas safe week???????

Did anyone else not hear a thing about gas safe during gas safe week? I would never have know if it wasn't for GSR monthly telling me.
Had my card 6 years and still no one wants to look at my pretty picture.

Nobody has ever asked to see my card in ten years nor have corgi / gas safe asked to update the photo in that time which I think needs updating occasionally

Came and went with a wimper,no brownie points for Gas Safe on that one,sorry to say :cry_smile: ...

Generally your gas safe picture is changed every 5 years when you do your refresher ,new pictures are required, well I always give them new pics, that appear on the next new card issued, suppose if you give them an old pic not many would check

I got told off the other week for not renewing my driving licence as you have to have a new picture every ten years ,no one told me
But as said never really asked to see it ,do have it clipped to my analyser and inspection gear bag ,just for added street cred

I was told on the FB gas safe site that there would be adverts in national newspapers about getting your gas appliances serviced annually and the dangers of carbon monoxide.I never saw anything.I asked the question that why don't you do some TV advertising say right in the middle of X-Factor about the dangers of un-serviced gas appliances.Surely with all us gas safe registered engineers and all the money we pay to them they can afford some TV air time?After all it can be the difference between life and death.Come on Gas Safe give us registered engineers a bit of hand here with some servicing work!!!!!
