Do I need to be gas safe reg to change my gas bottles on my boiler? I have my oftec, and I have a ladder ticket for climbing ladders, also a ticket for changing angle grinder discs, and a ticket for carrying cardboard boxes, one for driving a forklift truck, two tickets for spraying pesticides on crops.

Ticket for taking spanner out of tool box is missing so no then.

and dont forget your gloves, goggles, hard hat , hi vis vest ops nope sorry thats for conkers

Important things are your risk assessment, method statement and you must get your work permit authorised:D:D

Dont forget to fence off the area, put up adequate warning signs and notify your local HSE

You may jest however gas bottles suppling boilers should be secured correctly and protected correctly and all connections require to be sound and tight.
Not any tom, dick or cardboards box carrying, ladder climbing, grinder wheel changing, fork lift driving, oftec registered, crop spraying operatives are able to carry this process out
Took me 1/2 at the weekend to get the gas bottle working on the barbie, with this new fangled fitting they have, lucky I had my grinder ticket,so could grind valve off top of bottle and attach with a bit of garden hose and jubilee clip, must have been a bit of a leak down in the barbie pit,as got that sickly gas smell but lit some of those in-scents candles and put next to bottle, that sorted that out
Steaks were bootiful, tell you what though when them bottles explode... what a noise!! ,don't warn you about that on the bottle, could not hear for hours after, least I could spend a bit more time with the wife.....going to give claims direct at ring !!
