hey guys, if your gas safe registered as an employee, not in your own right, does this mean your breaking the law if u do a foreigner? ( im talking about gas law not tax law )

you will be deemed an illegal installer by Gas Safe and if caught you risk being prosecuted.

your registration belongs to your employer , and stoke city ? really ? :)

Yeh, I have my own GS but work for a firm, beware though, some companies will expect you to sign stuff off that you may not be comfortable with signing off

thanks guys, can you also apply for gas safe in your own right aswel as been an employee???

yes and Gas Safe are not required to tell your firm that you have applied which is good as it can be a sackable offence.

I have always had my own registration but over the years I have also been registered with various company's.

A little OT but I have just accepted a job with BG and they are saying I cannot be registered on my own.

If I want to do the odd foreigner in my "own time". what is the legality of this?

I realise they see it as competition but can they legally stop me from having my own registration?

ready your contract but i doubt you can , i know a few bg boys and they cant

I would say ''gas wise'' legally ......No

you have proved your competency and have registered through one recognised form or another

The issues legally lay else where

imho
