Was reading one of the trade mags this week and a letter sent in requested to know why none of the British gas vans had the Gas Safe logo on after 3 months of Gas Safe coming out
British Gas responded, said blar, blar, blar,we are going through fleet redoing ect but since then have been looking about in London area and Lincs and have seen no vans with new logo, all with corgi still on, I tell a lie there was one transit I saw with the little 50mm square Gas Safe badge on back door, engineer must have got it some were and stuck it on, surely if they do not have time to fit Gas Safe stickers, which is bad enough as it is ,they should have taken the cogi stickers off to stop confusion
Any way anyone seen British gas vans with the new Gas safe Logo on and were abouts

Daniel - You must be in a posher part than me. I still haven't seen it on their vans.

Well posh then. I'm in Maidenhead, but seem to work in Slough alot.

More like 40+ minutes with the traffic on the road that goes over the bridge, especially in the morning. :D

Why would they have the stickers on their vans..? NG or any of the other ESP's dont have them either..

i have a theory which may or may not be correct.

i believe they dont put the gas safe logo on their vans for a reason. it associates them them with every other gas safe engineer and if joe public make that association then i believe as a result more work would come our way. if that logo not there that is common to every gas engineer then the public are less likely to make the assumption that we are just the same as bg hold the same requisite qualifications and in essence are just as every bit competent and qualified. it seems to me that in being a bg engineer you are perceived to be the holy grail of gas engineers and custs seem to go for that, especially older folk. just a thought!!!
