I'm currently doing my ACS and choppy said it would be cool to fire questions at you guys in the pub.

Sooo......

Just a quickie...

When your doing a GSC on a boiler, do you always check that the inlet pressure on P1 conforms with the MI's??? It's just that, I've seen it not being done and the tutor said this is part of the MINIMUM checks when doing gas safety's on boilers.

Or would this be part of a service?

Just looking for clarification.

Cheers

Part of gas safety cert/landlord safety cert is checking that appliance is working safely. Low working pressure can cause issues with incomplete combustion so yes, check if possible.

In what situation would you not be able to or not bother to check it?

Some gas valves don't have any test points at all now so you can't unless you cut a test point into the pipework just under the boiler. I would never not bother. Always test if possible.

Cheers masood.. ;) makes perfect sense

Lol i meant croppie :/ whoops (sorry Croppie)
