Hi I'm currently in the process of buying a house and received a gas safety certificate for the property dating back to May. On the report it stated some defects with the boiler upon querying this with my solicitor we where send a new gas safety certificate from the vendor that states there is no defects with boiler and all checks passed. On the new certificate there is no information as to how the defects have been fixed so I'm feeling a bit worried somethings not right. I have attached both reports first image is Report from May 2020 and the second image is Report from Nov 2020

Any advice would be much appreciated on the best way to proceed. Does everything look to be OK or would it be best to try and get a engineer out for a independent check, reason I'm asking for opinions is due to completion date being new Wednesday and struggling to find an enginner that can help asap. Cheers

So, were different companies used, or same company same engineer, or same company but different engineer? Take it up with the solicitor, again, as it’s a legal document, that may have been tampered with.

Yes I have spoke with my solicitor in regards to this 2 weeks ago since then the vendor had a different engineer come out and check again but for some reason the defects from the first report have disappeared but there no information on the new report to say if the issues have been fixed.

One was very through - maybe too much? A system filter is not a gas safety issue.
The other was a drive by, didn’t take the case off, cheapest they could find job.

If it was a 4mb drop, it’s unlikely to be resolved without renewing a fair potion of the gas line.

However, without seeing the installation, take that with a pinch of salt.

I’d get someone independent to look at it.

What area you in? Maybe someone on here can help.
