Gas service engineer Job interview.

Hi there, I am just wondering if there are any current engineers that have gone through job interviews with companies such as N,Power BG or Eon for service engineer jobs.
They request certain practical tests and are apparently keen on the eletrical testing side of things.

I am just wondering if anyone here has come accross this and has anygood information, Thanks.

Shouldn't be a problem if your competent.
If you don't know the answer to a particular question just demonstrate that you know how to find the answer.
For example, refer to MI's

They are a lot more interested in the fact you work safe.
Make sure you are checking isolation of appliances before you go sticking your hand in there.

its the computer compatability test they make you do that'll catch most out ,
they will train you to there way of thinking anyway thats all the none critical coments i can think of realy doesnt suit every one but if it does then there good to work for , I couldnt stand them and walked out im affraid was just a moble salesmans role not a gas engeneer as they said it would be

just follow safe isolation proceedures when isolating the electrics and you will be fine.

When I went sub contract to BG I had to do a test which was about 40-50 questions and fairly straight forward stuff if you can pass your acs you can pass that. Might be different if your going full time

Went for an interview with EON ( I think) a few years back just asked a few more questions than you would get in a normal interview but again straight forward
