Hi we live 100 meters away from the gas main and we have had a supply put in, the pipe is 32mm wide and the standing pressure at the meter box is around 30mbars.

We are getting the meter fitted Thursday and I'm just hoping that the working pressure will be right..

So is 32mm supply pipe OK for a 100 meter run? And what size supply pipe is used for 'standard' jobs?

Many thanks.

How do you know the standing pressure is 30mb?

This is why you employ people to do the job who actually understand how things really work.

That is what we have done. They wouldn't pass judgment about it being 30mbar.

I'd just like to know what peoples opinions are on the 30mbar standing pressure and if the 32mm pipe seems OK for a 100meter run.

Agreed. Don't worry about it. There are other factors involved which you don't know about.
