Hi I am a new member and wonder if anyone can help me out with this problem. I have recently had a kitchen installed which involved re-installing the sink into a position it used to be in about 10 years ago. The final part of the installation was completed and when the taps were turned on there was a taste and smell of gas from the water. A sink which is in the utility room and runs from the same supply does not have this taste or smell. The smell and taste was pointed out to the kitchen fitters and it was then that I discovered that they had used an old gas pipe from the house to use as a water pipe, this has now been replaced but the taste and smell are still there when the water is turned on, howevr it does clear after a second or so.
I have had the gas supply checked and that is all in order.
any suggestions
