we are in Paisley, if he does CEN1 he needs to do CPA1 as well, and if he doesnt complete it by April the new CEN1 is CENWAT which includes water heaters, as he will be a CAT2 he needs to complete (or as near as damn finish) the portfolio before he can do his ACS, he cant do his ACS THEN portfolio

so the flue gas analysis has to be done to thought it was just ccn1 & cen1 and thats that

you can do CCN1 on its own (not much good to you TBH) if you want CEN1 or HTR1 you MUST do CPA1 at the same time,

ok more money magic lol so where is closer for me to send him bud

we are 2 miles from Glasgow Airport, if thats too far, you could go to Dundee College which is very good, there is also a college in Elgin but i dont know if they do gas,

do i read that as they are dropping water heaters as a seperate item?if so its not before time it was ridiculous that i could work on a boiler with same components and more as a water heater but not the water heater
another query ive got is once we take the fga qualification i assume it has to be renewed every five years ?most people will still be using the same fga and will have to train again

See, I'm on the flip side of you. Never seen a water heater, never likely to see a water heater (not in our stock), don't want to touch a water heater, so why should I be assessed on one?

boiler and water heater unit to be combined, so you have no probs mate

round the Angus area you have Dundee College, there is a private centre in aberdeen, Kirkaldy is renewing their centre will be open in few months, Inverness and elgin if you want a holiday, to the south Carnegie College in Dunfermline.... plenty to choose from, most up here are BPEC centres so could search from their web site.

yes water heaters on its own will be unavailable as of 01-04-11, and yes CPA1 is on the 5yr cycle, if you dont haave WAT1 at the moment you wont be able to do CEN1 reassessment, you will need to do CENWAT initial, TBH there prob isnt much difference between CEN re-assessment and initial, details are to be sent to us in Feb
