I have crimped a fitting and it is around 10mm off the Insert mark I am told it will be fine and won't leak how ever the warranty will be void is this right?

be fine and should pass all tests

Thanks, Hope so I'm not really a pipefitter but had to put some in the other day a fitter I no says it should be ok but I'm still a little worried

Put it on test today to 1.5 bar air does anyone know the exact difference between water and air for testing

you going to do a water test?

and really if you read the rules anything above 0.5 bar needs special permission and certain rules following (on air)

It will be fine, I have given them a tap out here and there to get my centres right, It always pays to mark the pipe with the insertion tool so your know when you are in and not and what you've got to play with. If the machine ever red lights you after a press thats when you need to worry :disappointed:

Cheers for the reply I had marked it but must of moved the crimper slightly before pressing. The crimp looks fine it's just around 10mm out off the depth mark I think the depth is around 50mm on a 66.7 fitting so fingers crossed its fine!
