Discuss get the hairdryers and tracer kits ready in the Air Sourced Heat Pumps area at Plumbers Forums

The winter of 2010/11 was so frustrating. So many call outs, and so difficult to get too. Roads were lethal. I slid down a bloody great hill into a bush, all for a £100 call out. It was 7pm and pitch black. Managed to get the van out and eventally get home after hours of hell!!

I had one customer (a regular) offer to come pick me up in his 4X4 to attend to his burst pipe. Luckilly I got a lift in my fathers Navara....and could laugh at all the other poor gits spinning all over the place.

I might buy some chains while the weather is still good.

Don't waste your time. Back in 2010/11 I was in the full grip of a mid-life crisis and driving a rear-wheel drive sports car. About as much use in the snow as a chocolate chisel. I swore that next time I changed the car, I would get a 4x4, which I did last autumn. It has not snowed since, and I am sure it will not snow again in the South of England until I next change my car.
