Will buy a pint for anyone who can shed some light on this problem as it is keeping me up at night!

In a nutshell there is a very loud vibration noise coming from one of the header tank pipes (exiting the tank).
From what I have read I thought it might be water hammer, however yesterday it was happening for about 15 minutes non-stop - so now not so sure.

Am in a block of flats with a communal water system. The council are responsible for maintenance but they are pretty useless so I need to try and gather as much info to help get this sorted.

I realise it is going to be very hard to diagnose but I have uploaded a video which hopefully somebody might be able to have some ideas on...

Happy to answer any questions!

Tank inlet valve.

Alright Simon! Thanks for the reply. By that do you mean the ball valve which is inside the tank might need replacing? The strange thing was, before I recorded the vid, I opened the tank and the ball valve wasn't i.e. I don't think there was any water flowing at the time. Or maybe you mean something completely different sorry!

cheers
