hi i hope someone can give some advice. The trouble i am having with my glow-worm 24cxi combi boiler is as follows. Even if the central heating is off via the thermostat if i have the hot water switched on its starts the central heating as well and so the hot water barely gets hot in the bathroom. i had some plumbers in and they thought it was the diverter valve so they replaced that with a new one and im still getting the same problem. so they have charged me for that and told me to go to glow-worm direct. Before i do and spend even more money i wondered if anybody has come accross the same problem. Many thanks Loyd

I would be Asking the plumbers to return.

You cannot interfear internally with the boiler as your not qualified.

Turn off the flow under the boiler (instructions will be in your user instruction book)

Run hot tap.... If DHW performance is much better then you have shown that the diverter isn't working properly and the nuggets need to come back.

Don't you dare open the boiler case !

sorry for the late thank you, i have turned the heating flow off and i get good hot water. couple of things even then, it still tries to turn the heating on every 20- 30mins does this still point to diverter valve. can i keep the heating flow turned off for long periods?

Good advice given (Thanks Ermi)
