Afternoon all

I fitted a gas valve in the above over a week ago & now the boiler is doing the same thing again

Boiler would light for around 3 sec then go out, this would continue until the boiler was manual shut down.

Fitted the new gas valve, tested & the boiler run like a dream.

Now the custard has just phoned to say the boiler runs for 3 sec then goes out

A/P/S seems ok, fan seems ok, no other issues with the boiler

Any ideas please people????

I was thinking pcb, but the chances are that Bod is correct.
It might be worth resoldering some of the pcb components.

Check to see if dhw light is slightly lit, if so the gland on the dhw valve is leaking onto & shorting the micro switch & causing the boiler to fire up. Can also cause it to overheat or just fire up for short intervals, thinking it's diong dhw.

How on earth would I'd find that without the little nod from aggis I don't no

I had one where another engineer had fitted gas valve and not set min burner pressure so when it modulated down it went out . worked fine on hw and heating until temp reached .pcb poor on these boilers
