Hi guys.

Do the front cases on these boilers have like polystyrene inside of them?

If so what's the purpose and what if it hasn't. ?

Not so sure about the front but the sides do.
its either going to be thermal or acoustic insulation.
If it once had insulation that disintegrated or was removed then i would expect some adhesive residue to be evident.

Found this before and it's not meant to be there. Took cover off for a service and it was there, rang tech to double check and it's there for transport only.

Update.

I did call glow worm about this because id serviced one in the morning without the polystyrene and then another in the afternoon which did have it.

They said it's put there for transport and acoustic reasons. If it's there great if not its nothing to worry about.
