what are peoples thoughts on these ? ive been asked to change a boiler but he wants a boiler with a back entry flue coming out and the only one i can seem to find that does this is the glow worm flexicom but obviously i want to fit a reliable boiler for them so whats everyones thoughts and experiences on these boilers ?

I have found on a few of these at about 2 years old, the o-ring on the flue connection where it exits the rear of the boiler starts to leak and can leak onto the thermistor directly below it and cause it to lock out. Other than that, I've not had many other problems with them but I'm not a massive Glowworm fan to be honest.

I am not a bigfan either, as still remember the trouble glowworm gave us a few years back butlike you had to fit one this weekend as under the work top ,it was the openvented 18 k/w and having a look at it ,it seemed ok, have a few on my rounds andmust admit have had no problems with them ,will keep a eye out for the flueseal leaking ,must admit that was one thing I thought was a bit suspect,he flue fitted in just a bit to easily, giving the niggle in the back of your mind it was a bit to loose

imho

I fitted loads of Flexicoms and ultracoms quite a few years ago now and I liked em I can only remember one giving me trouble and it turned out to be a PC board

ok thats eased my mind loads thanks people you have been a great help ! i will keep an eye on the flue seal and bare that in mind thankyou .

I fitted a couple of these about 5 years ago in new build flats.

The only problem I had was the fixing jig was slightly out on one and as I had all pipework coming out of the wall about 2 inch below the boiler it was a pig to connect up.

Other than that they have been working fine ever since.
Still not a Glowworm fan after other experiences since.
