Nope. Not a scooby.

But I'd imagine you were charged appropriately. There's more to running a business than the accumulation of beer vouchers!

What job? I'm guessing there should be a picture?

Def under charged. Get him back and pay him more.

Profit is good.
Profit is good.
Profit is good.
Profit is good.
Etc
Etc
Etc.

Simon can you please explain to me exactly what profit is it seems that long ago now..brum

an interesting experiment you can do is to see how much profit you have to make before you notice you've made any. it turns out it needs to be quite a lot.

I'm sick to death of everyone wanting parts at cost, telling me they can get the bits cheaper, my mate had it done for this much, etc etc etc. If you are quoted a price at the end of the job PAY UP and stfu.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I've had a bad week

Profit is the miniscule amount of money left after doing the job, paying for parts, paying yourself a wage, paying diesel, paying road tax, paying van insurance, paying for the van, paying for repairs and maintenance on the van, paying for tools, paying for public liability insurance, paying for dust sheets, paying for consumables, paying your tax, paying your national insurance contributions, paying into your pension fund, paying for your life and accident insurance, paying towards unpaid time off, paying for ongoing training costs, paying ongoing certification fees, paying your phone contract, paying your accountant and please feel free to add whatever I have forgotten.

Basically a very small percentage of sfa.
