Grandee condensate unit has a small hole

Hi all
I've a Grandee 23/28 boiler and found a very small hole at the bottom of the condensate unit, thus you can see steam leaking out of the unit. The leak has dripped onto the control unit, but somehow that seems ok! Anyhow, I see that i have 2 options.
1 - Replace the condensate unit
2 - Use Epoxy to fill the hole.

My question is - will option 2 work and is there anything inside the condensate unit that may also be leaking?

you can temporarily seal the hole, and i emphasise temporarily! The trap will need to be replaced as soon as possible.

The steam you can see is products of combustion.

Try (1) first and if it works great, if it doesn't you've lost nothing.

Try liquid metal.

Maybe we're not talking about the same thing. Do you mean the funnel at the bottom which the condensate runs into?

Not sure where the plastic thoughts came from??
The condensate unit is metal and I agree that epoxy might do a temp job but I need to replace the condensate unit.
