Gravity hot water problem

Hi guys got a bit of bother with a gravity hot water system. The layout is as follows

hw cylinder with spartan tank
pumped ch with 2 port valve
gravity hw

problem is heating is working done but he isn't. Boiler fires for hw but shuts down shortly after. Thinking circulation problem or airlock but unsure how to tackle with spartan tank. Any ideas?

The spartan has an air eliminator on it doesn't it?
Can you undo the top connection of the heating coil to check the cylinder has water at the coil/venting it?

Spartans have an aav on them, can you not gently unscrew it and bleed it that way?

Regards the OP ... It sounds like the primaries have dried up! Common symptom of a dried up primary is for the gravity to stop whist the heating carries on as normal.... !

Rip lot out replace with new indirect cylinder cold water storage tank and small header tank or replace with new combination boiler They were a lode of rubbish first time round
