Hi guys just wanted some opinions, had a customer with the above Boiler, when a demand was called, heating or hot water, the pressure rises up to 2.5 bar, no hot water to taps and the kebab too hot, to touch. The ev wouldn't hold charge so I have replaced the vessel and the hose. I got hot water for about 4 minutes and then same problem, Worcester are advising it could be pin holed plate HE, but only as a maybe, any ideas or advice would be appreciated

pump working?

Yes, pump is working

heating working ? and to test if pinhole turn mains to boiler off and run hot tap if heating side drops theres a pinhole in plate

That's what they said it could be, is there anyway I can test the theory Shaun? Thanks for the reassurance, he's a good friend of mine and I don't want him spending good money after bad

To test the plate, make the pressure 0.5 bar in the boiler. Don't operate the boiler and see if the pressure rises. Then reset to 0.5 bar and isolate the cold inlet to the boiler and see if the pressure rises. If its the plate it will rise if the cold mains is live going into the boiler.

If the plate is scalding hot then the burner has been lit and if the pressure is rising then id prob look at circulation problem first because if pin hole then the pressure would be altering all the time , on hw,, if your not getting hw at the tap then no heat transfer is ocurring, idve thought even with a pin hole youd still get bit of transfered heat unless phex is maybe choked ,, when ask for CH do you get any heat or does any pipework in the boiler get hot ??

Thanks for the advice, really appreciate it, I am going there tomorrow so I will try the suggestions. Thanks again

I was thinking down those lines, take the green cover off the diverter valve and check the paddle is moving and the actuator is working, because as Kris says sounds like circulation

Check the diverter valve is operating up and down. The flexi on these between the manifold and the vessel can block. I've had 2 that have been blocked solid and 2 that weren't even connected to the manifold. The dhw could be that the plate is blocked, again, that would suggest the system is dirty.
