Hi guys I have a job to look at the above heat only boiler which keeps coming up with a EA fault code suggesting flame faliure. I went a few weeks ago and checked the gas pressure which was fine and reset it but the customer says the fault has re-occurred. it will reset and run then throw this code up when it wants to. I am no worcester expert but I`m sure one of you guys are, any ideas. Thanks in advance :wink5:

Hi mate

clean the electrodes and check the baring plate in the fan they stick sometimes giving a EA fault code intermittently I usually bend the ribs ever so slightly this works for me

there's a flap bit just after the fan that sometimes sticks (cant remember what its called). check co2 if it goes all over the place its that. there about a tenner.

Don't bend the ribs on the bearing plate, use talc as WB techs do then increase the fan over run time via the on board software from 30 secs to 1 min this happens in extremes of temp, ie, loft, garage or when a kettles under boiler etc.

if boiler is over 4 years fit new probes

Bearing plate probably shreaddies, - as said above replace it £10 electrodes a mess and bet front ends never been unbolted and cleaned out.
