Ok, so I know this topic has been covered a lot, but would anyone care to know the secret of removing baffles from these damn annoying boilers?!?
Done it on 2 of them now and removed all the baffles, where none of them moved!! :D

you know this secret?!? It's the main place they get stuck, also partly a think by carelessness when they weld the jacket together

Ahh, the 'toaster'! I use a club hammer and a flat crowbar. What's your secret, would love to know......

nope, just a normal weighted hammer, and I use a long bit of steel, about 3mm thick and 50mm wide, filed to a bit of a sharp edge (long chisel)

It's where the bottom bit of the "toast" is, just before it comes into the blast chamber, "*****" builds up at the back and sometimes the front, and needs chiselling off, then a tap the "toast" up and eureka!
For the front *****, head of a club hammer and smaller chisel, but it mainly seems to be the back.

Its not about getting them out, its about taking a couple of mill off with the angle grinder before putting them back.

Mark, I shall take your advice on board and see if that is the spot where the trouble is. Simon is knob on though, grind them clean afterwards a d dont be afraid of a little soot on the next service, drop that air down. :)

Someone once told me Mr Muscle spray oven cleaner around the edges but I've never tried it.
