when changing the gasket on on top of that stupid kebab heat exchanger, what is the trick to getting those 3 leads off the electrodes

for not the 1st time i just spent ages yanking them off waiting for them to break in my hand and wondering if theres a trick to this. are they meant to twist off, can you prise them open, will wd40 help

manual says nothing but i'm convinced i'm missing something

twist slightly,should break the seal

Some of them are an absolute nightmare, some come off easy. I usually twist, pull and swear. That gets them off.

I've got a main heat ex to do, not done one before any tips?

Twist a bit swear a lot then vow never to fit worcester and repeat until they come off. Then once they are off go to the first aid kit and patch all the cuts up.

Or is that just me?

Make sure you get the metal pressed o rings for the hydro block. They've got 2 locating semi circles on opposite sides with the o ring in the middle.

Yse, don't fit the bloody things.

I don't fit boilers and if I did I wouldn't fit worcesters, unfortunately for me I have to repair and service them and worcesters tend to be a right pain in the rear.
