Hi there,

I recently moved into a nerw home and the previous owners were part way into installing a shower. We bought the house but when we moved in the shower had been plumbed in but not connected to shower arm or connected to wall.

All i had to do was put the face plate on and connect the shower arm to the wall. However there is only cold water despite turning control fully both ways and i cant see any way to adjust anything or get a cartridge out. (2 cut thumbs will atttest to this!!) Any help would be gratefully received.

Hi mate a couple things youl have to check. The first . Is there an isolation valve somewhere on hot supply that needs opening. Second is the temp control spindle of the shower maybe needs agjusting to allow hw through. Also check any inline filters arent clogged.. and double check that the hot water from shower is infact teed into the ho****er as the maybe didnt connect it in yet. It might also be possible that depending how its piped and if the cold pressure is far greater than hot then it will need to be balanced so pressures are equal . ( depends on system). Hope this helps Kyluke
