Welcome to the forum gas man
They will be sending out new cards soon :)
Do many people ask to see them were you are
I get asked about once a year
Just stick two parts in pocket and if asked for it get them out and pretend just happened ;)

no dont get asked very often,a tenant asked me last week but had him to check me out on the net

there is a gas safe PR man on here. havnt seen him answer a real question yet. (such as yours or mine) wouldnt bother replacing it. you dont need it. your registerd, ask the client to check website and serial number.

I dont wait to be "asked" for my card, i get it out and show every customer before i start work. If everyone did this maybe there would be less whining about customers not recognising OUR new brand.

My thoughts exactly!!!

you don't actually NEED your card, although many customers who come to us looking for gas safe guys do expect to see a card, therefore I think it's worth the 13 pounds. You can add your registration number to your business card and inform customers that they can find full details of your registration online and present this as your "card" if you'd rather save the 13 pounds, however, you'll then have to pay for new business cards! I hope this helps.

What does a card prove....you have a good colour copier at home:eek:
Most people know you have to be registered and lots still ask for corgi checks,so you flashing your gas safe card will not do alot as they still want a corgi one

Maybe a better idea ,would for manufactors instruction books and other promotional literature be plastered with the gas safe reg logo and maybe one or two British gas vans

Like the 'OUR' brand bit, were did that come from
Corgi is like Hoover, you have differant names but people will still say corgi meaning gas safe for years to come
And lets not forget if not for another government cock up,brushed under the carpet, that we are paying for,it should still be Corgi

On a good note the cost of replacement cards is coming down this year!!
we are not worthy

if the hse had addressed the brand change properly,ie not left it till last minute to tell the public life would be easier in my veiw changing from corgi[well established brand name]to gassafe was a major mistake and the only real reason i believe it was done was to make more money from us guys as gassafe dont do competent person sceames so as usual we end up paying more ,after all gsr is in the same neck of the woods as corgi and have most of the same staff it is all down to making more money out of US!!!
